Remedial Massage:

Remedial Massage is a great way of targeting and releasing the causes of pain and discomfort. A wide range of techniques can be used such as Active Release, Soft Tissue Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release. Remedial Massage can be used to address the following complaints:

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a specialised treatment based on the ayurvedic system of healing. Its aim is to release stress in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck, shoulders and back. It also helps to increase joint mobility and flexibility, improves blood and lymphatic flow, frees knots of muscular tension, relaxes connective tissue, aids the elimination of accumulated toxins and waste products but is particularly good for inducing deep relaxation and reducing the effects of stress and tension. The client is usually fully clothed (unless used in conjunction with another treatment).

Swedish / Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage uses Swedish massage strokes and techniques to calm the body and mind. This gentle and soothing technique can be used to relieve the stresses of our busy lifestyles, with the use of deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation techniques to induce a sense of well being in the patient and relieve the muscle tension caused by the stress.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is a speciality massage treatment incorporating the use of hot basalt stones (black volcanic rock), which are heated in water and known for absorbing and retaining their heat. This treatment is not only deeply relaxing on both physical and mental level but vastly increases the blood flow and circulation to the area being treated, thus speeding up the healing process. Although usually used in conjunction with Swedish massage it is also extremely effective when used with remedial and sports massage techniques as the heat radiates deeper and faster into deep muscle tissues, aiding a more effective treatment and faster recovery. The stones are used as tools to deliver extensive tissue and muscle massage at a pressure level comfortable to the client sand the treatment required (light, medium and deep).

Onsite Massage

A stimulating and rejuvenating massage designed for use in the workplace. Performed on a chair through clothing the massage specifically targets areas of tension and stress to improve mobility, concentration and productivity while alleviating muscular aches, joint pains, tension headaches and eye strain often caused by long term desk work.
